FIABCI-Canada is the Canadian chapter of F I A B C I.

F I A B C I is the French acronym for the International Real Estate Federation, FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE des ADMINISTRATEURS de BIENS et de CONSEIL IMMOBILIERS. Based in Paris, it is a worldwide network open to professionals involved with the Property industry.

FIABCI operates Chapters in over 50 member countries, embracing more than 100 different national professional associations and their individual members: an organization linking thousands of real estate professionals worldwide, representing every discipline in the industry.

FIABCI means worldwide real estate contacts at the highest level.

  Mission Statement

To provide real estate professionals throughout the world with an effective means of communication to enable them to share their knowledge and experience with each other and with the international community in order to provide society with the optimal solution to its property needs.

FIABCI provides contacts (both personel and business). Its members also have access to information on real estate markets the world over, about real estate and fiscal legislation, and about professional practice. Finally, members acquire knowledge about techniques to make their business more efficient and profitable and to understand other cultures.

  Who Are The Members?

FIABCI is the forum for all the actors on the world real estate stage, including

(a) The property professionals involved in the life cycle of a property:

  • the COUNSELLORS who imagine its best use,
  • the APPRAISERS who estimate the market value,
  • the FINANCIERS who find the funds to make it,
  • the DEVELOPERS who make the dream a reality
  • the AGENTS who find the occupants,
  • the MANAGERS who optimize the investment.
(b) The other professionals involved in the real estate industry:
  • ARCHITECTS,
  • ACCOUNTANTS,
  • BUILDERS,
  • EDUCATORS,
  • LAWYERS,
  • PUBLIC SECTOR PROFESSIONALS.

  What Are The Member Categories?

FIABCI welcomes institutions and individuals as members.

INSTITUTIONS
  • Associations (known as "Principal Members")
  • Corporations, academic institutions, government entities.
INDIVIDUALS
  • Regular Members: (members of Pricipal Member associations).
  • Special Members: (individual professionals who are not members of a Principal Member Association, as well as individuals associated with Corporate, Academic or Public Sector member institutions).

  The Members - How Many?

Over 100 National Associations representing every real estate discipline: size of associations varies from very small (less than 100 members) to very large (over 10,000), with total membership to more than 1,500,000 real estate professionals in over 50 countries.

MORE THAN 6,000 INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS including about 44% agents, 17% managers, 12% developers - remaining 27% are counsellors, appraisers and financiers.
